What happens once I become a member?

Who will refer me?
Round One connects you with employees in over 2000 companies, who have signed up on Round One to help their company recruit and to earn referral bonuses by referring you. We have verified their identities and encourage you to choose the ones that are most appropriate for the position and department of your interest.
What is discussed during the telephonic conversation with the employee?
Although each employee in a company will have their own style to evaluate candidates, you should expect questions that will assess your candidacy on three dimensions: Fit with company culture, fit with the role, and expertise and experience.
What happens after the telephonic conversation with the employee?
If the employee in the company thinks you are a good fit for their firm, they will submit your application as an internal referral, thereby increasing your chances of getting hired by 10X. We cannot guarantee that you will get hired, but research shows that a referral (on average) increases your chance of getting the job by 10 times.
Why does Round One charge money?
Employees take out a half hour from their busy schedule. We need to ensure that only serious, confident, and motivated applicants use our service. Charging a fee ensures that only those that think stand a real chance will use our service, and thus acts as a quality filter.
Why will the employee refer me?
Employees receive large bonuses for successful referrals. It is therefore in their interest to refer qualified applicants. However, they are selective because referring unqualified candidates hurts their credibility within their firm.
